Back in the Winter, the Windmill was showing Diana Hartman.  This chicken painting was one of the most awesome paintings I've ever seen, and has reminded me that not all art has to tackle serious issues to be good.  It's been very "inspirational" to my creative ideas lately.

Thank you Diana!

Old Moth Matthews, in the bleakness of night,
Flew and flew and flew towards the light,
And when he beheld the light's glowing ore,
He singed his wings and flew no more.

This came to me when I was using the bathroom the other morning.

Here are the late 20's.  Successful enough the start buying more expensive stupid shit, yet the ability to execute on great ideas has significantly diminished.  Motivation to be creative, also significantly depleted by the assignment of tasks by others (aka work).  Time spend entertained cheaply by actors, greater than ever before.

I work from my house, which has it's positive traits, getting out of bed 15 minutes before a phone meeting with a client, and negative affects, the trip to the grocery store happens at least 4 times a week to relieve the desire in the change of scenery. You know it's bad when your parents put "going to Trader Joe's" down in a card as a fun thing you can do on your bike... There is also a subtle affect that only happens when you are successful in creating a good home working environment... you never see another living soul except your husband... all day long...

Give to the Rich at the Expense of my Social Security

I am sick of nobody standing up for us.

Look, we all know that in this US society, if you have money, you have the power.  Money buys opinions, it buys political offices...  More specifically, money pays somebody to lobby congress.  Money pays somebody to create a slanderous TV ad.  Money pays people to call constituents and request your vote or call your congress member to demand something you vaguely understand.  (I know.  I was paid as a temp to do that once for a bill.)  Money pays for a no vote on something important because a yes vote means that money doesn't go to your reelection campaign, but to a slanderous and/or confusing TV ad.

Money also funds scientists to publish papers and do research in favor of your brand.  Money pays a marketing agency to create a press release sent to all news organizations so that your product is a topic of conversation that week.

So, when somebody is allowed to collect and horde a lot of money, you are actually giving them the right to have more power than you.

WTF - Face Cloths and AA Batteries
WTF

Batteries & Face ClothsWhen I look at what's in the stores, I wonder whether we're actually progressing ahead or investing too much time in stupid shtuff for the sake of capitalism...

Take for example the Face Cloth.  It's a small piece of cloth.  It's straightforward to construct, and yet they no longer exist at my local drug store.  I must have spent hours looking for a small piece of cloth, only to find that the only one in existence is a special, singularly packaged bamboo facecloth with a ruff side and a soft side.  WTF.

I'm reviving this blog.  In a way, I have to.

The last few years I have struggled to find a worthwhile reason to restart this project.  In fact, since the groundwork failing that was Souled.org, I've been relatively fearful of investing myself into another large project.  Instead, I sqoobble time in the development and planning phase, unable to launch, unable to find the topics worthy and self-rantless enough to display.

A friend of mine started a blog lately.  It's silly and thoughtfully amusing at times, and I'm sure it's not shooting for absolute glory or profit, but why not take pictures of a frog that lives on your frying pan handler in your house?

Before you can rise from the ashes, you gotta burn baby burn.
